Gifts Sales Associate Full Time
About The Position
The Gifts Sales Associate performs a range of selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and warmly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make purchasing decisions based on their needs. The associate stays informed about products, advertised sales, pricing, and company programs, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products and provide information, assistance, and direction to customers.
- Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
- Promote programs, including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Replenish and restock merchandise and maintain shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
