Full- Time Gifts Associate
About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including promptly and warmly greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and assisting with seasonal merchandise moves. Associates help customers make purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including standing or walking throughout the shift and handling objects of varying weights, with team lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers and provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
- Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
