About The Position

Cloverkey is hiring a part-time Gift Shop Sales Associate for the gift shop at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple in Temple, Texas. The associate supports daily store operations and creates an outstanding shopping experience by assisting customers, contributing to sales goals, maintaining an inviting shop, processing transactions accurately, and building positive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, service-oriented, professional, and committed to accountability and continuous improvement. Candidates selected for employment must successfully complete any required hospital occupational health screenings and onboarding requirements before beginning work. The required hospital testing for this position includes a drug screen, flu screening, and TB test. Scheduled hours are Sunday 1:00 p.m.–5:15 p.m., Tuesday 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Thursday 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., and Saturday 1:00 p.m.–5:15 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of basic math for processing transactions.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Effective time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong sales skills, including the ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
Strong customer-service skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
Successfully complete required hospital onboarding and occupational health requirements, including drug screening, flu screening, and TB testing.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet customers, provide personalized service, and invite them to return.
Meet individual and store sales goals and contribute to overall store performance.
Maintain an organized, clean, visually appealing shop that meets Cloverkey merchandising standards and hospital infection prevention requirements.
Accurately process transactions using cash, credit cards, payroll deductions, hospital charge accounts, and other approved payment methods.
Balance and verify cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, following established cash-handling procedures.
Promptly report and document cash discrepancies according to company policy.
Maintain reliable attendance, work scheduled shifts, and follow Cloverkey and hospital policies and professional appearance standards.
Build positive relationships with hospital staff, volunteers, patients, and visitors while representing Cloverkey professionally.
Understand daily store operations and contribute to a collaborative team focused on service and sales results.
Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement as measured through individual and team performance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, District Manager, or Corporate.
