Gift Shop Clerk P/T
About The Position
The Gift Shop Clerk provides cashier coverage and guest service in the casino gift shop. Duties include processing credit and debit card transactions, making change, counting money, operating a POS system, and performing other gift shop tasks such as stocking and cleaning. The employee may also be asked by their supervisor to perform other duties or follow additional instructions. Training will be provided. The role requires an Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license to be obtained and maintained. The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced casino environment with smoke and secondhand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent guest service skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Above-average oral communication skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle multiple functions simultaneously.
- Obtain and maintain an Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
- Read, write, and speak basic English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform duties in casino operations with smoke and secondhand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights.
- Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods; lift up to 20 pounds; and stretch, bend, kneel, twist, and reach.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with customer service, retail sales, credit card transactions, and light maintenance is preferred.
