About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience through product demonstrations, merchandise replenishment, product knowledge, and assistance with buying decisions. The position operates under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or similar structures.
• Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
• Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
