Gift Sales Outfitter Full Time
About The Position
The Gift Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer-service activities, including promptly and warmly greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, keeping merchandise stocked and priced, and helping customers make buying decisions. The position works under general supervision and follows established procedures while occasionally using independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Replenish and restock products according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product-knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
- Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
