About The Position

The Fishing Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. The outfitter stays current on product knowledge and advertised sales, promotes applicable programs, and follows company policies and procedures. Duties may include other assigned work.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including standing and walking throughout the shift and handling objects as described.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
Demonstrate products and assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and stay knowledgeable about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
