Pratt & Whitney Canada is currently seeking a Manager to join the Facilities Engineering department at our Longueuil facility. The successful candidate will oversee the Office Space Projects team, responsible for delivering office fit-up, return-to-site and common area projects. As a Manager, he will be an integral member of the broader Facilities Engineering and Project Management team, which includes Project Managers, Engineers, Technologists and Building Design Consultants. He will work in a dynamic, high-performing environment and will be expected to demonstrate adaptability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in building project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence others and act as a change agent.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Bilingual (French and English). Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead his team by providing expertise in strategic planning and the efficient execution of projects while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Ethics and Export Compliance policies.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and internal processes.
  • Strengthen risk management by improving project management practices.
  • Align and support his team in achieving annual objectives.
  • Define departmental objectives while ensuring rigorous strategic planning and seamless project execution.
  • Manage project prioritization, monitor budgets and align projects with the financial plan.
  • Organize departmental quality clinics.
  • Manage contractor responsibilities.
  • Align change management activities with contractors and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Support the development of his team in anticipation of technological advancements and evolving business needs.
