Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years’ experience in software development and DevOps.
Strong proficiency in the Python programming language and, ideally, in C, Fortran, or Rust.
In-depth knowledge with automated testing methodologies and tools such as pytest.
In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Practical knowledge of Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
Problem-solving skills.
Teamworking.
Pragmatic and oriented towards business needs.
Focused, able to tackle and prioritize several tasks, risks and considerations.
Concise and efficient communicator in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience in data analysis and machine learning an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage design system development for analytical systems including aerodynamics, structures, dynamics and performance.
Develop solutions that provide state-of-the-art productivity for the engineering and enterprise community including the effective use of optimization technology and multi-physics analysis.
Provide technical leadership in the areas of software engineering, design systems architecture and analytical methodology development.
Be responsible for driving projects from inception to completion.
Improve Engineering processes for increased productivity and overall quality deliverables.
Leverage DevOps, Github and Azure DevOps (ADO) expertise to develop or modernize analytical software tools.
Conduct multi-disciplinary design optimization projects (MDAO).
Provide user support and training or analytical software tools and high-performance computing (HPC) environment.
Participate in project planning & Scoping activities requirements analyses, design and peer reviews.
Build cloud-based infrastructure-as-Code (IaaS) solutions on AWS.
