Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years’ experience in software development and DevOps.
  • Strong proficiency in the Python programming language and, ideally, in C, Fortran, or Rust.
  • In-depth knowledge with automated testing methodologies and tools such as pytest.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Practical knowledge of Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Teamworking.
  • Pragmatic and oriented towards business needs.
  • Focused, able to tackle and prioritize several tasks, risks and considerations.
  • Concise and efficient communicator in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data analysis and machine learning an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage design system development for analytical systems including aerodynamics, structures, dynamics and performance.
  • Develop solutions that provide state-of-the-art productivity for the engineering and enterprise community including the effective use of optimization technology and multi-physics analysis.
  • Provide technical leadership in the areas of software engineering, design systems architecture and analytical methodology development.
  • Be responsible for driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Improve Engineering processes for increased productivity and overall quality deliverables.
  • Leverage DevOps, Github and Azure DevOps (ADO) expertise to develop or modernize analytical software tools.
  • Conduct multi-disciplinary design optimization projects (MDAO).
  • Provide user support and training or analytical software tools and high-performance computing (HPC) environment.
  • Participate in project planning & Scoping activities requirements analyses, design and peer reviews.
  • Build cloud-based infrastructure-as-Code (IaaS) solutions on AWS.
