They are seeking a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and ensuring their offices are safe, functional, and welcoming. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks, coordinating contractors, managing office layouts, and supporting overall workplace operations. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with practical judgment and a proactive approach to improving facilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a similar hands-on role, ideally in a corporate or commercial environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot problems, prioritize tasks, and deliver practical solutions.
• Experience managing external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong communication skills in French and functional English.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance and material-handling tasks.
• DEP or DEC in Building Maintenance or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hands-on maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, painting, furniture assembly, fixture installation, and general building upkeep.
• Coordinate/Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical systems.
• Diagnose facility issues, determine appropriate solutions, and coordinate specialized contractors when required.
• Manage office layouts, workspace reconfigurations, furniture moves, and facility improvement projects.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including international shipments, delivery tracking, and customs documentation as needed.
• Support workplace operations by managing service requests, maintaining equipment inventories and maintenance records, and contributing to site safety and security initiatives.
