We are seeking a motivated Geologist with 2-5 years of environmental consulting experience to join our team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This position offers the opportunity to support and lead field investigations, environmental site assessments, and hydrogeologic projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating and overseeing field activities, including drilling and monitoring well installation, and possess strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. This role combines both field and office responsibilities and offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to a variety of environmental projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related geoscience discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience supporting and leading environmental field activities.
• Experience with drilling programs and monitoring well installation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Nice To Haves

• Concentration or coursework in Hydrogeology, Geophysics, or Structural Geology.
• Experience preparing technical reports, work plans, and project deliverables.
• GIS experience (ArcGIS or equivalent).
• Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience working in environmental consulting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Lead and oversee field activities, including: Drilling operations, Monitoring well installation and development, Soil, groundwater, and environmental sampling, Contractor and subcontractor oversight
• Collect, document, and interpret field data in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, field summaries, and project documentation.
• Support hydrogeologic assessments, site characterization, and environmental compliance activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality standards during all field and office activities.
