About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Geologist to join its Resilience Environment team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The role combines field and office work, with fieldwork expected to account for 50% to 75% of the time. The team emphasizes mentorship and professional growth. The Geologist assists Project Managers and Task Managers with planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. Field responsibilities may include site inspections; oversight of drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater well installation; groundwater and vapor sampling; subcontractor oversight; and operating and maintaining remediation systems. Fieldwork must be conducted with a focus on health and safety. Office responsibilities may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health and safety plan preparation, work plan development, technical report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishing subcontracts. The role also involves collaboration with engineers, hydrologists, and geologists. Most fieldwork is expected to take place in Colorado, but travel elsewhere in the U.S. may be required for up to two weeks at a time. Estimated travel and fieldwork may reach 75% during the first two years, typically decreasing to 50% by the third year as the employee advances. The role may also support national emergency response teams following incidents such as train derailments or pipeline releases. Such work is performed under trained incident responders and may involve unanticipated travel and work outside standard business hours. Travel expenses are reimbursable.
