About The Position

This intern position is located within the Roadway Safety Section of the Traffic Operations & Safety Bureau and conducts work on behalf of the entire bureau. The intern performs a variety of GIS tasks involved in developing, maintaining, and implementing geospatial assets. The role uses desktop and online GIS resources to create and edit data assets, creates and customizes digital and hardcopy maps, and supports end users by collecting their needs, documenting them, and implementing solutions. The intern also documents data resources, provides end-user training, helps create training materials, and identifies and implements automation solutions to improve office-task efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited educational institution.

• Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Use ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online to create and edit data assets.
