About The Position

The City of Cambridge is seeking a GIS Specialist to develop, administer, and support the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Program. The position maintains spatial data and creates maps and drawings for departments including Engineering, Planning, Housing, Code Enforcement, and Public Safety. It also manages data standards, data accuracy, and related infrastructure such as SQL Server databases and desktop GIS tools. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and independently solves GIS requests. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
• Two years of GIS experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to independently solve GIS requests.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and support the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) Program.
