About The Position

General Warehouse supports daily operations in the Distribution Center by helping provide a safe, clean, efficient, and comfortable environment. The role involves recycling materials, preparing order-processing areas, replenishing packing supplies, and potentially maintaining inventory records. Employees must follow SanMar safety regulations, policies, and standards and perform other duties as assigned.

This position works the 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. shift. Essential days or overtime may be required. Work takes place in a fast-paced, moderately noisy warehouse environment, with possible exposure to dust, changing weather, extreme heat or cold, conveyor systems, and machinery-related hazards.

Requirements

• Some experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and write and sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, label information, and SKU information.
• Basic math skills for counting and determining quantities.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
• Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic literacy for operating machines and completing necessary daily paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Sort, compact, and bind cardboard for recycling and recycle plastic.
• Set up order-processing areas with supplies.
• Restock recycled boxes, new boxes, and envelopes.
• May be required to maintain inventory records for boxes, tape, and envelopes.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to SanMar’s safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
