About The Position

General Warehouse supports daily operations in the Distribution Center by helping maintain a safe, clean, efficient, and comfortable environment. The role includes handling recyclable materials, stocking order-processing supplies, and potentially maintaining supply inventory records. Work is performed in typical warehouse conditions in a hectic, fast-paced environment, with exposure to machinery, conveyor systems, dust, and changing weather conditions.

Requirements

• Some warehouse experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and write, and sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
• Basic math skills for counting and quantity.
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
• Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic literacy for operating machines and completing necessary daily paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Sort, compact, and bind cardboard for recycling, and recycle plastic.
• Set up order-processing areas with supplies.
• Restock recycled boxes, new boxes, and envelopes.
• May keep inventory records of boxes, tape, and envelopes.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to SanMar’s safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
