About The Position

The General Warehouse associate supports warehouse operations and may perform the duties of a container unloader, picker, shipping divert worker, or other warehouse positions. The role involves handling shipments and merchandise, picking and preparing store orders, building and moving pallets, and using warehouse equipment and an RF gun. Associates maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly condition and may support other departments as needed. The position is seasonal and first shift. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; calculator use is helpful.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently while following prescribed work methods.
Ability to work flexible hours and work an alternate shift for an extended period with limited notice.
Ability to stand, stoop, lift, and perform manual dexterity tasks; lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and remain on one's feet for the entire shift.
Ability to ascend staircases and perform standing work on an elevated platform.
Ability to work in cold temperatures in winter and hot temperatures in summer.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
One year of warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload shipments safely and move products to assigned locations or containers.
Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
Pick store orders for shipment and verify that the correct quantity and type of product are loaded and shipped.
Place boxes on pallets or conveyor belts.
Pick freight from pallets using pick labels.
Stack pallets with product from shipping divert lanes, build pallets, and shrink-wrap pallets.
Move pallets using a pallet jack.
Use an RF gun for picking, receiving, put-away, replenishment, and loading functions as required.
Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Perform additional duties as assigned and support other departments as needed.
