About The Position

Seeking Role Players (RPs) to act as Opposing Force (OPFOR) for a training scenario in Clovis, NM, from July 21-22. This role involves staying on script, wearing appropriate costumes, operating various military weapons systems (including marking cartridge weapons, paintball weapons, and blank ammunition), and acting as OPFOR while being engaged with marking cartridge weapons. RPs must be physically fit, capable of working in austere environments and during darkness, familiar with basic weapons handling and safety, and able to be restrained for prolonged periods. They should be comfortable with trainees frisking and searching them while restrained, and able to stand and lay prone for extended periods. Participation in scenario training where non-lethal marking ammunition will be used is expected, requiring the wearing of safety equipment including a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a US Citizen and provide proof.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
  • Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
  • Be comfortable with having trainees frisk and search them while they are restrained.
  • Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods of time with and without restraints.
  • Be able to participate in scenario training where they should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing safety equipment (personal protective equipment).
  • Be able to wear safety equipment consisting of a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.

  • Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the scenario training.
