About The Position

Role Players are needed for a training exercise in Clovis, NM on July 21-22. This is a contract, temporary position for a team of 22 Role Players. The pay rate is $20/hour. Role Players will be required to stay on script, wear appropriate costuming, and operate various military weapons systems, including firing marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after instruction. They will act as Opposing Force (OPFOR) and may be engaged with marking cartridge weapons. Physical fitness is required, with no limitations that would preclude working in austere environments or during darkness. Familiarity with basic weapons handling and safety is necessary. Role Players must be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods and be comfortable with trainees frisking and searching them while restrained. They should be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods, with or without restraints. Participation in scenario training involving non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) is expected, while wearing provided safety equipment (full-face helmet, throat guard, groin guard).

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Stay on script for the scenario without adlibbing or changing the scope of the scenario.
  • Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the significance of the scenario training.
  • Operate various military weapons systems and fire marking cartridge weapons, paintball type weapons systems, and blank ammunition after being instructed on the safe use of weapons.
  • Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR).
  • Be engaged with marking cartridge weapons.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
  • Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
