About The Position

Role Players (RPs) are needed to act as the Opposing Force (OPFOR) for scenario training. RPs must be able to stay on script, wear appropriate costuming, and operate various military weapons systems, including those firing marking cartridges, paintball, and blank ammunition. They will be engaged with marking cartridge weapons and must be physically fit for austere environments and nighttime operations. RPs must be comfortable with basic weapons handling, safety, and being restrained and searched by trainees. They should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition while wearing protective gear, including a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard. RPs must be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods, with or without restraints.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Be a US Citizen and can provide proof.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be physically fit with no physical limitations or preexisting medical conditions that would preclude them from working in an austere environment and during the hours of darkness.
  • Shall be familiar with basic weapons handling including safety.
  • Be able to be restrained/zip-tied for prolonged periods of time.
  • Be comfortable with having trainees frisk and search them while they are restrained.
  • Be able to stand and lay prone for extended periods of time with and without restraints.
  • Be able to participate in scenario training where they should expect to be shot at with non-lethal marking ammunition (Simmunitions, UTM, or paintballs) while wearing safety equipment (personal protective equipment).
  • Be able to wear safety equipment consisting of a full-face helmet, throat guard, and groin guard.

Nice To Haves

  • Role Player with Military/Law Enforcement experience/background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Wear clothing, including costuming and headgear, appropriate to the scenario training.

  • Be physically fit with no limitations that would preclude working in an austere environment or during hours of darkness.
