About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a Processing/Harvest facility. The role may involve working in any department and requires maintaining a safe work environment while following Tyson policies and procedures. Depending on the position, duties may involve handling product with knives and hooks, operating powered equipment or heavy machinery, and removing hide from cattle or trimming and boning product.

Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. Some positions require pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying 40 pounds or more. Work may take place in extreme cold or hot, wet, or humid environments, with temperatures ranging from 35–40°F or 65–100°F. The work may require using hands and arms above shoulder level and standing for 8–10 hours per day.

Former Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit. Some roles require background checks; applicants offered such a role will receive additional documentation after an offer is extended.
