About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a Processing/Harvest facility. The position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Work may be in any department of the facility. Depending on the assignment, duties may involve processing product with hand tools or operating powered equipment and heavy machinery. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The role is on A Shift. Previously employed Tyson team members are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.

Requirements

Able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Some positions require the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry 40 pounds or more.
Able to work in extreme cold or hot, wet, and humid environments, ranging from 35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 65 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Able to use hands and arms above shoulder level.
Able to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks in any department of the Processing/Harvest facility.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
Depending on the position, use a knife and hook to bone out or trim large pieces of product.
Depending on the position, operate powered equipment such as air knives, wizard knives, saws, or skinner machines to remove cattle hide or trim product.
Depending on the position, operate heavy machinery.
