General Production - Processing/Harvest
About The Position
This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a Processing/Harvest facility. The role may involve working in any department and requires maintaining a safe work environment while following Tyson policies and procedures. Depending on the assignment, work may include handling product with knives and hooks, operating powered equipment, or operating heavy machinery. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Former Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.
Requirements
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Some positions require the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry 40 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in extreme cold or hot, wet, humid environments, ranging from 35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 65 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to use hands and arms above shoulder level and stand for 8–10 hours per day.
- Former Tyson employees must meet a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor in any department of the Processing/Harvest facility.

- Depending on the assignment, use a knife and hook to bone out or trim large pieces of product.
- Depending on the assignment, use powered equipment to remove cattle hide, trim product, or operate heavy machinery.
