About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in a Processing/Harvest facility. The role may involve working in any department and requires maintaining a safe work environment while following Tyson policies and procedures. Some assignments involve using knives, hooks, powered equipment, or heavy machinery to process product or remove hide from cattle. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Candidates must be able to work in extreme cold or hot, wet, and humid environments, with temperatures ranging from 35 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 65 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Some assignments require pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying 40 pounds or more, working with hands and arms above shoulder level, and standing for 8–10 hours per day. Candidates who previously worked for Tyson are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit.
