About The Position

This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The employee may work in any area of Fresh Processing, including DSI, Debone, Deli lines, and Evisceration. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and Friday from 3:45 p.m. until work is finished. Pay is $17.30 per hour. Applicants must pass drug screening. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Rehires are subject to a 180-day waiting period and may have no more than two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

Requirements

Pass a drug screening.
Be able to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 pounds for some positions.
Be willing to work in damp, cold, or hot environments and reach above shoulder level.
Be able to stand for 8–10 hours per day on hard surfaces.
Be able to perform repetitive motions.
Be able to climb stairs to and from work areas.
Wear required PPE, including frocks, gloves, ear protection (plugs or muffs), a hair net, and a beard guard.
Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform entry-level general labor in Fresh Processing, potentially in DSI, Debone, Deli lines, or Evisceration.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, repetitive motions, and climbing stairs as required.
Wear required personal protective equipment.
