About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in Fresh Processing. Work may be assigned to any area, including DSI, Debone, Deli lines, and Evisceration. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Some positions may involve using a knife or scissors to bone out or trim product, or operating powered equipment such as saws or skinner machines.

The position pays $17.45 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential for second shift. Applicants must provide a government identification number so the system can verify prior Tyson employment. Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times are not eligible for rehire. Some roles require a background check; additional documentation will be provided after an offer is extended. Hourly applicants must complete a task after submitting an application to provide additional information for consideration. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Be able to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 pounds for some positions.
• Be willing to work in damp, cold, or hot environments.
• Be able to reach above shoulder level.
• Be able to stand for 8–10 hours a day on hard surfaces.
• Be able to perform repetitive motions.
• Be able to climb stairs to and from work areas.
• Wear required PPE, including frocks, gloves, ear protection, hair net, and beard guard.
