About The Position

The General Labor Team Member performs a variety of entry-level production and support functions throughout Tyson Foods’ Forest, Mississippi poultry plant. Team members may work in multiple departments based on operational needs while following Tyson Foods policies, food safety standards, quality expectations, and production requirements. The position is on the second shift. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation. The facility does not accept applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods more than three times and accepts rehires after 365 days.

Responsibilities

Maintain and promote Tyson Foods’ safety culture.
Perform general production and labor duties as assigned throughout the facility.
Support poultry processing, packaging, sorting, inspection, and product handling operations.
Maintain product quality and food safety standards.
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and production lines using approved cleaning methods and equipment.
Operate basic hand tools and production equipment as authorized and trained.
Complete required production records, logs, and documentation accurately.
Communicate production and safety concerns to supervisors and team members.
Assist with material handling, product movement, and production support activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
