About The Position

Production employees handle materials and use hand tools, knives, machinery, and equipment to help deliver food responsibly. The work is physically demanding and requires hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, strength, and stamina. Team members must be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime depending on production demands. Additional essential functions may apply to specific jobs, and employees may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Able to perform continuous or repetitive movements, including grasping, pinching, and flexing and extending the arms.
Able to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
Able to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
Able to work with a knife if trained.
Able to work in cold areas (approximately 20–40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
Able to work in wet and humid conditions, noisy environments, and around strong smells or odors.
Able to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing and eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes, and to use personal protective equipment.
Able to work with sanitation and cleaning chemicals.
Able to climb or move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
Able to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively throughout a shift and walk long distances.
Able to meet the physical demands of the work, which may include repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 pounds, single lifts of objects up to 60 pounds, or lifting with mechanical assistance.
