About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role may be assigned to any area of Fresh Processing, including DSI, Debone, Deli lines, and Evisceration. The position is based in Carthage, Texas, and works the second shift: Monday through Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and Friday from 3:45 p.m. until finished. The pay rate is $17.30 per hour. Applicants must pass a drug screening and be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Team members seeking to transfer from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. Rehire consideration requires a 180-day waiting period, and applicants may have no more than two previous Tyson employments to be considered.

Requirements

Be able to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 pounds for some positions.
Be willing to work in damp, cold, or hot environments and reach above shoulder level.
Be able to stand for 8–10 hours a day on hard surfaces.
Be able to perform repetitive motions.
Be able to climb stairs to and from work areas.
Wear required PPE, including frocks, gloves, ear protection (plugs or muffs), a hair net, and a beard guard.
Pass a drug screening.
Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
