About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Team members rotate throughout the department and may be considered for openings in any department, including Evisceration and Further Processing. Work takes place in cold, hot, wet, and slippery conditions. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position is based in Monett and is scheduled Monday through Friday on the second shift. Starting pay is $16.75 per hour. First-process hours begin at 2:30 p.m.; second-process hours begin at 4:15 p.m. Both schedules continue until the end of the shift. Applicants who have previously worked for Tyson must wait 180 days (six months) before being considered for rehire and may have no more than two previous Tyson employments to be considered. Some roles require a background check; additional documentation will be provided after an offer is extended. Hourly applicants must complete a task after submitting their application to provide additional information for consideration.
