About The Position

The General Merchandise Team Leader leads General Merchandise operations and hourly team members to deliver a consistent, guest-first experience while ensuring products are available, accurately priced, signed, and easy to shop. The role blends workload planning and execution across replenishment, merchandising, pricing, signing, sales-floor and backroom upkeep, and—in applicable areas—fulfillment. The leader uses business and team metrics to identify opportunities, improve processes, and support department and store sales goals, with direction from a direct leader. The position includes coaching, training, evaluating, and developing team members; assigning work according to business priorities and guest traffic; supporting hiring and talent development; and collaborating with store teams and leaders. The Team Leader also promotes inclusive, ethical, and safe work practices, supports compliance and physical security, and may occasionally assume store-level Leader on Duty responsibilities. Work schedules are variable and may include nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and other peak shopping times. This is a full-time role, but weekly hours are not guaranteed to be 40 and may fluctuate based on business needs. The work is active and physically demanding, may involve changing environmental conditions, and requires mobility throughout a scheduled shift.
