About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Clune Regional Office. Along with the Executive Office Leader (EOL), they are responsible for the overall success of the Regional Office. This includes jointly reviewing the office budget, profit forecasting, and managing all office and project personnel. The General Manager will also oversee local Business Development, assign proposals, and manage all Office, HR, and Safety related items impacting the office. This is a high visibility position that leads the strategic and tactical direction of the regional office.

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Business, or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • 15 years of progressive experience in a construction, design project management or business environment.
  • Advanced computer and system skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, developing, and leading.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Office Budget along with the EOL.
  • Reviews secured revenue to communicate profit projects and forecasts all OHL for the office along with the EOL.
  • Assists EOL with office personnel management, including working with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs and Human Resources on dismissals.
  • Ensures personnel career growth conversations are held with local Team Leads to set and measure goals for their employees.
  • Oversees local Business Development for the office and participates in proposal review.
  • Assists EOL with sponsoring regional and companywide programs and identifies individuals to participate.
  • Acts as a resource for EOL and teams regarding local Trade Partner and Owner Issues.
  • Works with the Office Manager (where applicable) and is accountable for office renovations & improvements, seating arrangements, office parties or celebrations, and major BD events.
  • Participates or is informed of HR issues with team members and takes an active role in improving these situations where necessary.
  • Keeps Safety front of mind in our everyday work environment.
  • Reviews local operational procedures and processes to improve quality or efficiency and participates in local and national Ops meetings.
  • Supports the local Intern Program and ensures adequate resources are allocated to ensure success.
  • Office Leadership is responsible for the overall success of the Regional Office Team.
  • Mentors team members and fosters growth opportunities.
  • Works with Team Leads on performance issues or disciplinary concerns and proposes title and pay changes when applicable.
