About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas into storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products to customers and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, including making correct monetary change. The General Manager uses verbal, writing, telephone, computer keyboard, or touch-screen skills to process orders and communicate with customers and coworkers. The role also requires coordination for rapid, precise movements; understanding and giving written instructions; and navigating delivery areas and varied terrain, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Ability to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain while carrying products.
