About The Position
The Delivery Driver operates equipment and handles a range of store tasks, including stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, completing inventory and related paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also delivers products and promotional materials to customers within a designated delivery area.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain while carrying product.
Responsibilities
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
- Deliver product by car to the customer's door.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
