About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The position also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The role requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, and verbal, written, and telephone communication to process orders. It requires motor coordination for rapid, precise movements; the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen; and the ability to understand and provide written instructions. The employee communicates with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, reads maps and locates addresses within the delivery area, and navigates varied terrain—including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites—while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
