About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers, distributing flyers, door hangers, and other marketing materials, and performing store and delivery duties as needed. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The position involves communicating with customers and co-workers in person and by telephone, processing orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen, handling money accurately, and directing activities while meeting quality-control standards. Work may take place around food preparation equipment and in varying temperatures, including coolers and hot work areas. Physical tasks include standing and walking, lifting and carrying supplies and products, reaching, bending, crouching, pushing or pulling trays, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders. Delivery work includes driving within a designated area and carrying orders to customer locations, sometimes navigating multiple flights of stairs.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and provide correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Motor coordination and eye-hand coordination to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying products.
- Ability to perform the described physical duties, including lifting delivery cases weighing up to 60 pounds, carrying products, and climbing stairs when required.
- Far and night vision for driving.
