About The Position
The General Manager operates store equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory; completes associated paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role includes on-the-job orientation and training, communicating with customers and co-workers, directing activities, and making operational judgments and decisions. Duties also include delivering products by car to customers, distributing flyers, doorhangers, and other marketing materials, and driving within a designated delivery area. Delivery work may involve walking, carrying orders, and navigating stairs and other delivery sites.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
- Ability to carry out the physical tasks described, including lifting deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds, carrying products, and navigating stairs.
- Ability to work under stress, deal with people, and meet strict quality-control standards.
