About The Position

Better Buzz Coffee is seeking a General Manager to lead a café as its most senior leader. The role is responsible for delivering a best-in-class guest experience while building a strong team culture, developing people, translating strategy into measurable business results, and overseeing sales growth, profitability, labor management, talent development, guest experience, and operational execution. The General Manager leads from the front and owns café performance, continuous improvement, and the implementation of company standards and initiatives. This is a non-exempt position with pay based on a regularly scheduled 45-hour workweek, including overtime eligibility and a monthly bonus opportunity. The stated pay is $32.00–$35.00 per hour, with estimated annual earnings of $79,040–$86,450 based on a 45-hour workweek. Actual earnings may vary according to hourly rate, overtime worked, and bonus achievement. Compensation is determined in part by relevant experience, demonstrated leadership success, and overall alignment with the role's requirements.

Requirements

At least 3 years of General Manager experience in a high-volume restaurant, coffee, hospitality, retail, or food service environment.
Proven success leading teams and delivering P&L results.
Strong business acumen and experience leveraging KPIs to drive performance.
Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining talent.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Assistant General Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Baristas.
Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, teamwork, hospitality, and continuous improvement.
Own café performance across sales, profitability, labor, cost of goods, waste, guest satisfaction, and operational metrics.
Analyze KPIs and business trends to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and drive measurable results.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop talent while building an internal leadership pipeline.
Provide timely coaching, performance feedback, and development plans to support team members' career growth.
Deliver exceptional guest experiences through operational excellence and consistent execution of Better Buzz standards.
Maintain compliance with company policies, food safety standards, labor laws, and workplace safety requirements.
Lead implementation of new products, promotions, operational initiatives, and company programs.
Create a clean, organized, and highly engaged café environment.
