General Manager - Orlando

Madabolic•Orlando, FL

About The Position

MADabolic is hiring a General Manager to launch and lead its first Orlando-area studio. This is a build-from-the-ground-up business leadership role: the General Manager owns the team, members, studio performance, and local market growth. The role involves introducing the brand to the Orlando community, building partnerships and awareness, generating leads, selling memberships, and turning visitors into long-term members while maintaining high standards for training, service, and member retention. The General Manager leads the studio team, including a Lead Trainer and part-time staff, and establishes expectations, accountability, and culture. They manage the sales pipeline from lead through trial and membership, maintain systems and studio operations, build community relationships, and identify new opportunities for growth. They also coach approximately 6–8 classes per week and serve as a visible representative of MADabolic on the training floor and throughout the neighborhood. The schedule is largely self-managed rather than a fixed clock-in/clock-out schedule. The work includes time in the studio, regular one-on-ones with the Lead Trainer and Ownership, sales and member communications, community outreach, and planning or attending events. Some early mornings, evenings, and weekends are expected because community events and opportunities may fall outside standard business hours.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a trainer in a group setting involving weighted, functional movement, or prior membership in the brand combined with the skills and desire to become a trainer.
  • Ability to perform MADabolic’s core movements at a high level and credibly lead a fitness brand.
  • Experience managing people or teams; ability to demonstrate how you have held others to a standard if you have not formally managed a team.
  • Comfort selling a product or service you believe in, building relationships with varied personalities, listening, following up consistently, and asking for the close.
  • Ability to create business-development opportunities, including partnerships, events, referrals, and new sources of business.
  • Experience working with structured processes and rigorous systems; ideally, experience maintaining those systems.
  • Enjoyment of community engagement and a genuine interest in building a local business.
  • Initiative, entrepreneurial ownership, and the ability to identify what needs to happen, take responsibility, and follow through without being directed at every step.
  • Comfort with prospecting, networking, sales, events, accountability, feedback, and performance measurement.
  • Availability for some early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to manage a largely self-directed schedule rather than work a predictable 9-to-5 routine.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Orlando and an existing local network.
  • Experience opening or launching a fitness studio is helpful but not required.
  • Experience managing someone with their own performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and drive accountability across the studio team, including the Lead Trainer and part-time staff.
  • Establish the studio’s expectations, energy, and culture from launch.
  • Generate leads through referrals, local partnerships, events, grassroots marketing, and community presence.
  • Own the sales pipeline from lead to trial to membership through outreach, follow-up, lead management, and sales conversations.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, residential communities, fitness and wellness partners, clubs, and community leaders.
  • Plan and execute events, pop-ups, partnerships, and other opportunities to introduce MADabolic to the community.
  • Coach approximately 6–8 classes per week and set the standard for coaching on the floor.
  • Oversee studio performance, culture, schedule coverage, and use of systems.
  • Maintain member relationships and communications, and support conversion, connection, and retention.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to build the business and increase MADabolic’s presence in Orlando.
  • Hold weekly one-on-ones with the Lead Trainer to guide performance and support development.
  • Hold weekly or biweekly one-on-ones with Ownership to review performance and support growth.
  • Spend deliberate time in the Orlando community prospecting, developing partnerships, and attending or hosting events.
