The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls; customer relations; staffing; paperwork; food management; scheduling; store standards and cleanliness; marketing; and profitability. The manager is expected to set an example, follow all policies and procedures, and hold the crew to the same standards. The role is part of a locally owned Domino’s franchise that describes its team as family and offers opportunities to advance, including from assistant manager to general manager and potentially to franchise owner or Manager Corporate Operations. The position also includes general store-team duties such as operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. Team members must communicate with customers and coworkers, follow written instructions, process orders by phone and in person, perform basic arithmetic and monetary transactions, and enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Delivery duties include transporting products and promotional materials in the designated area. Work may involve standing and walking for much of the shift, lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling trays, climbing stairs or ladders, and repeated bending, crouching, and reaching. The work environment includes varying temperatures, hot surfaces and tools, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, moving mechanical parts, and sometimes adverse weather. Delivery work can involve driving and navigating buildings, stairs, and other delivery locations.
