About The Position

This role supports Tyson of Springdale, a new poultry processing facility opening in Springdale, Arkansas. Candidates selected for this position will start their Tyson career and complete training at a nearby Tyson facility in Rogers or Springdale, Arkansas. Once the new facility is operational, Team Members will transfer to Tyson of Springdale location in early 2027. All professional team members are expected to demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, adhering to company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs. Individual Contributors should demonstrate the ability to integrate AI into daily work, improve efficiency through AI-enabled solutions, evaluate outputs critically, and apply professional judgment when using AI. People Leaders should demonstrate the ability to drive responsible AI adoption, enable effective use of approved solutions, identify opportunities to improve team performance through AI, and ensure accountability for the quality and accuracy of AI-supported outcomes. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 plus years experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment.
  • Directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance and refrigeration personnel.
  • Administering PSM program.
  • Working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.
  • Maintaining relevant records.
  • Ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
  • Instructing in the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
  • Coordinating Team Member schedules.
  • Handling clocking reports and attendance records.
  • Holding monthly safety meetings.
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned on all 3 shifts of refrigeration maintenance.
