General Manager Refrigeration - 1st Shift - Tyson of Springdale
About The Position
This role supports Tyson of Springdale, a new poultry processing facility opening in Springdale, Arkansas. Candidates selected for this position will start their new position and complete training at a nearby Tyson facility in Rogers or Springdale, Arkansas. Once the new facility is operational, Team Members will transfer to Tyson of Springdale location in early 2027. This position may be responsible for planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes the following: directing coordinating and supporting maintenance and refrigeration personnel; administering PSM program working with contractors vendors or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment; troubleshooting and resolving new and or different technical problems regarding equipment. Other responsibilities include maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented instructing in the use of personal protective equipment and implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility. This position is also responsible for coordinating Team Member schedules and handling clocking reports and attendance records holding monthly safety meetings and performing other responsibilities as assigned on all 3 shifts of refrigeration maintenance.
Requirements
- Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 plus years experience
- Basic computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Supervisory experience: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
