About The Position

The General Manager reports to the District Manager and is responsible for the performance of the assigned store. This includes managing store assets such as cash, inventory, vehicles, fixtures, operating expenses, and payroll to achieve established goals. The General Manager professionally manages customer and store personnel relationships.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of experience in store management, customer service, and sales within the automotive industry.
  • Good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers, employees, and management.
  • Basic knowledge of certain accounting procedures.
  • Ability to read store financial reports.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating system, Word, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent math skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent post-secondary education (college or vocational diploma).
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit.
  • Ability to speak, hear, use a keyboard, reach for objects, and bend.
  • Good close-up vision, color distinction, and depth perception.

  • Bilingualism is preferred and may be required in certain locations.

  • Manage payroll, accounts receivable, and other expenses in accordance with the established budget.
  • Lead territory sales and store operations to implement promotions designed to meet or exceed profit objectives.
  • Manage customer and employee situations with confidence.
  • Delegate tasks and complete projects.
