About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 3 for Mid-Pacific Institute, an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory school for Preschool, Kindergarten and grades 1-12 located in Honolulu, HI. The school has 1400 students and focuses on 21st-century project learning and collaboration. The General Manager must be able to create the vision necessary to support the contract and interact with the campus and local community. Leadership, Computer Skills, Culinary knowledge, and Food/Beverage Cost controls are key skills for success in this role.

Requirements

Previous management background in high volume food retail / restaurant/ dining or high volume corporate or campus dining including catering oversight.
Excellent relationship skills: developing strong partnerships with campus departments, students and staff.
A track record of commitment to creating a welcoming guest/ customer dining experience and ability to train/mentor staff on customer service.
Strong financial acumen - managing annual budgets, maintaining labor/cost controls.
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with school lunch programs, nutrition would be helpful.
Seeking local candidates – the ability to understand and have experience in island culture, cuisine would be beneficial in this role.
