General Manager 3 - Food
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager 3 for Mid-Pacific Institute, an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory school located in Honolulu, HI. This role requires a leader who can create a vision to support the contract, interact with the campus and local community, and possess strong skills in leadership, computer proficiency, culinary knowledge, and food/beverage cost controls. The General Manager will be responsible for showcasing an exceptional client service mentality, supporting and developing their team, building strong client relations, achieving financial targets, integrating into the client's organization, and creating a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Previous management background in high volume food retail / restaurant/ dining or high volume corporate or campus dining including catering oversight.
- Excellent relationship skills: developing strong partnerships with campus departments, students and staff.
- A track record of commitment to creating a welcoming guest/ customer dining experience and ability to train/mentor staff on customer service.
- Strong financial acumen - managing annual budgets, maintaining labor/cost controls.
- Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
- Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with school lunch programs, nutrition would be helpful.
- Seeking local candidates – the ability to understand and have experience in island culture, cuisine would be beneficial in this role.
