JSL Technologies, Inc. is seeking a qualified General Maintenance & Repair Worker to support Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE) and facility maintenance operations at the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC), Cheatham Annex. This is a contingent hire, pending contract award. The incumbent will perform general maintenance and repair work on a variety of equipment, facilities, and systems supporting Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS) programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a maintenance and repair worker
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Must complete required DoD/BUMED IT security training
  • Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple trades
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply reference materials such as manufacturer manuals, regulations, catalogs, records, and orders
  • Ability to read and speak the English language with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format
  • Proficiency in US standard office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems)
  • Strong ethical principles and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks on facilities, equipment, and systems
  • Conduct minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment
  • Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
  • Maintain and repair doors, windows, walls, floors, and ceilings
  • Replace or repair broken or damaged hardware and fixtures
  • Support maintenance of Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE) including shelters, containers, and related equipment
  • Perform cleaning and preservation of equipment
  • Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment
  • Support preparation of equipment for storage or shipment
  • Perform repairs and alterations including spot paintings, gasket/seal replacement, dent repair, blind rivet replacement, and sealant removal/replacement
  • Support rebuilds and rehabilitations of equipment
  • Replace or install components, assemblies, and subassemblies
  • Perform basic machining and welding as required
  • Generate Equipment Repair Orders (EROs) for annotating equipment discrepancies
  • Enter maintenance actions into DMLSS or other government databases as directed
  • Maintain equipment history jackets
  • Document worker time on equipment within each work order
  • Comply with all fire, security, and safety regulations (OSHA, CFR)
  • Report accidents/mishaps and property damage to COR/ACOR immediately
  • Maintain required training and certifications
