About The Position

The Charleston, West Virginia office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents businesses and individuals, including insured and self-insured clients, in property and personal injury claims. The team handles a wide range of matters and has particular experience with catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received notable recognition for defense verdicts. The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills and one to fifteen years of experience in insurance defense litigation. The firm also welcomes developing attorneys with substantive litigation experience and strong skills in another litigation area. Admission to the West Virginia Bar is required. Requirements

Admission to the West Virginia Bar is required.
Strong research and writing skills.
At least one year and up to fifteen years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Substantive litigation experience; the firm is open to attorneys whose experience is in a litigation area other than insurance defense.
