About The Position
The Westchester, NY office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents defendants in significant-exposure general liability matters involving property and personal injury claims. The group handles matters for businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured, with particular strengths in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received prominent recognition for its defense verdicts. The firm welcomes attorneys with insurance defense experience as well as developing attorneys with strong skills from other litigation areas. This role offers the opportunity to work in a growing, collaborative firm.
Requirements
- Admission to the New York Bar is required.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- One to fifteen years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Substantive litigation experience.
