General Liability Associate Attorney
About The Position
The Hartford, Connecticut office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents insured and self-insured businesses and individuals in property and personal injury claims. The group handles a wide range of general liability matters, with particular strength in litigation and trial work involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex cases. Its attorneys have received notable recognition for their defense work, including a National Law Journal citation for a Top Ten Defense Verdict of the Year. The ideal candidate has two to seven years of experience in insurance defense litigation, employment law, and products liability, and has handled matters through all phases of litigation. Connecticut Bar admission is required. Lewis Brisbois offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Requirements
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
- Two to seven years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation.
- Experience in employment law and products liability.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Experience with case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
