About The Position

Cascades is hiring a General Labourer in Piscataway, New Jersey. This hands-on role supports production operations by preparing, handling, and moving materials and finished goods. The position involves working on the production floor, supporting machine setup and changeovers as needed, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. The schedule is 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., with every other weekend off and options for overtime. An Interview Day is scheduled for November 4; selected candidates may complete interviews and other hiring steps during their visit. The hiring process includes a resume review and possible brief pre-screening call, a 30-minute in-person interview at the plant, a same-day hiring decision and offer, and pre-employment and medical testing scheduled within one week.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, logistics, or production experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is an asset, or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, handling, and moving finished goods.
• Verify product counts, labels, and identification tags when required.
• Help load and unload materials and finished products.
• Work with team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.
• Complete other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures and work safely at all times.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production activities and assist with machine setup and changeovers when needed.
• Remove scrap, waste, and excess materials from production areas.
